Meridian litter acquires an evergreen environment, expanding in the southeastern United States

Meridian Waste has expanded its services in Alabama and Mississippi with the recent acquisitions of Evergreen Environmental Partners Holdings, LLC (EEP) and ADSI Holdings, LLC (ADSI).

CEO Walter “Wally” Hall said shortly after the announcement that the Charlotte-based waste service provider is in “full growth mode.”

“Our management team is familiar with the Alabama and Mississippi markets from previous roles in the industry,” Hall said in a statement. “We are confident that we can build on the solid foundation of the business already built by Darren and Anthony Rizzo alongside many of the dedicated EEP and ADSI team members and with the continued support of our private equity partner, Warren Equity Partners. “We look forward to integrating these assets into our Southeast footprint and making Meridian Waste a major part of the Alabama and Mississippi solid waste service industry.”

BTG Pactual Strategic Capital previously held a majority stake in EEP and ADSI. The contract transfers ownership of the Noble Hill MSW LandfillEEP transfer station in Greater Huntsville, Ala., as well as the handling, administrative and maintenance facilities for more than 50 commercial, industrial and residential contracts.

“Partnering with BTG Pactual has created a vertically integrated strategic solid waste platform while creating significant shareholder value,” said EEP CEO Darren Rizzo. Wally Hall, we are confident of the continued success of the business.”

As of April 2018, this is the 30th acquisition owned by Warren Equity Partners (WEP). The details of this transaction have not been disclosed.
